Privacy Policy for VideoVroom

Overview

VideoVroom is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy explains our practices regarding data collection and use.

Data Collection

VideoVroom does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personally identifiable information or usage data.

• No personal information is collected
• No usage analytics or telemetry are tracked
• No data is sent to Dakota Code Lab or to any third party
• All video processing happens locally on your device
• No advertising or tracking cookies are used
• No VideoVroom account is required, and no account exists to create

Instagram Sign-In (Optional)

VideoVroom can open a link that someone has left inside an Instagram comment. Instagram does not make those links tappable, and it only shows the contents of comments to signed-in users. Because of that, this one feature asks you to sign in to Instagram the first time you use it.

If you never share an Instagram comment to VideoVroom, you will never be asked to sign in, and every other feature works without it.

• Your password is never seen by VideoVroom. Signing in loads Instagram's own login page in a standard system web view. Your username and password go directly to Instagram. VideoVroom does not read, handle, store, or transmit them.
• Your session stays on your device. Instagram sets a session cookie, which is kept in VideoVroom's private storage on your phone. It is excluded from cloud backup and from device-to-device transfer, so it never leaves the device it was created on.
• Nothing is sent to us. When you share a comment, your device asks Instagram for that comment's text and then opens the link inside it. Dakota Code Lab never receives the comment, the link, or anything about your Instagram account.
• You can sign out at any time. The Sign Out button in Settings deletes the stored session from your device.

VideoVroom is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Instagram or Meta. This feature depends on Instagram and may stop working if Instagram changes how it operates.

Permissions

VideoVroom requests the following permissions:

• Internet Access: Required to fetch videos from URLs you provide, and — only if you use the Instagram comment feature — to contact Instagram from your device on your behalf

These permissions are used solely for the app's functionality and no data is collected through them.

Third-Party Services

VideoVroom does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

When you share or paste a link, your device contacts the site that link points to — for example Reddit, YouTube, or Instagram — in the same way your browser would. Those services have their own privacy policies, which govern what they do with that request. VideoVroom does not add anything to it, and is not a party to it.

Children's Privacy

VideoVroom is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
